A cancer occuring in the esophagus, a tube that runs from your throat to your stomach.

This cancer usually beings in the cells that line the esophagus. Men are more prone to get this cancer than women. Other risk factors include being older than 65, smoking, alcohol abuse, lack of fruits and vegetables, obesity and acid reflux.
