Bladder cancer is not a rare cancer, in the UK it is the 7th most cancer.

However there is very limited public awareness of the disease and it has been overlooked in terms of reasearch spending.

Patient outcomes can be considerably improved by early diagnosis, up to 80% survival rate when caught early. It is not only a disease of older people, younger people can also be affected.
